Michael Ormond started out teaching political philosophy in Southern California in the late 60s and early 70s. He subsequently graduated from the University of Minnesota law school in1978. His practice was limited to the specialty of family law. From 1984 until 2010 he was a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, serving as chapter president in 1996-7. From 1991-2006 he was a family law faculty member for the Judical College sponsored by the Minnesota Supreme Court.
Though retired from the firm and the active practice of law, Michael still offers Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including mediation, arbitration and Consensual Special Magistrate services. Michael spends much of his time traveling with his wife, Miriam, and pursuing his hobbies.
